Many problems seen and managed by surgeons do not require surgery. Sometimes we play an important role in co-ordinating care amongst a multidisciplinary team. We often manage patients who require surveillance. Importantly we can often offer reassurance by arranging investigations to exclude potentially dangerous conditions or conditions that require surgery. It is not uncommon to just review your case as part of a second opinion.
I am happy to offer both online and in person initial consultations. If after the initial appointment further input is required I will arrange this through the public or private healthcare system depending on what suits you best.

Any referral, investigation or procedure that is generated from your consultation can be arranged in the public or private sector as per your preference. If you are seeking advice or guidance on a health issue relevant to general surgery feel free to send us a message and we will do our best to point you in the right direction. It may be advice on how to discuss it with your GP, a referral to specialist or for further investigations.
Phone/Video consult
If you are needing a more detailed assessment then a phone or video consultation is a good place to start. From here a plan can be made for any next steps that may be required. If a physical examination is required we will discuss an in person review.
Second opinion consult
If you have already had an assessment with another health care provider we are very happy to offer second opinions if you feel this will help you make the right decision for you. We are also very happy to point you in the direction of someone else who can offer a second opinion.
In person consult
We can cover a lot of your assessment through phone or video assessment however physical examination is critical for certain conditions and essential prior to any surgical procedure. If this is required or you would prefer and in person appointment we can find a time convenient for you.
